Assistance to victims of crime as a potential interest of a selected segment of helping professions
VOLÁROVÁ, Andrea
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of assistance to victims of crime as a potential interest of a selected segment of helping professions. The main objective of the bachelor's thesis was to find out how society provides assistance to minor victims and if assistance provided meets the needs of the minors who have been victims of a crime. The bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts; a theoretical part and a research. The theoretical part focuses on defining the rights of minor victims in the Czech Republic; then it describes crimes committed against minors. Great emphasis is put on the issues of relatively frequent CAN syndrome; and the final section provides a list of helping organisations that deal with the issues of minor victims of crime. The research part is based on a qualitative research strategy. Monographic method and content analysis were employed to obtain data. Then there was employed structured interview technique that used a set of 11 open questions. The results of the qualitative research showed that respondents from the helping organisations tend to agree with the statement that the assistance provided to minor victims of a crime is sufficient to their needs. The needs of minor victims were identified by the respondents following their experience gained through work with minor victims. The thesis mentions respondents that would improve assistance provided to the victims and also respondents that do not agree with the statement; such respondents believe that the needs of victims are not met at all. The research results will serve as an information source for professionals in organisations providing assistance to minor victims of crime.

Prison spiritual care
CHARYPAROVÁ, Ludmila
The aim of the diploma thesis was to analyze the availability of prison spiritual care in prisons, detention prisons and detention facilities in the Czech Republic and also description of the Prison spiritual service, the possibilities of using this service and the most frequent problems connected with it. The theoretical part describes an introduction to the problems of the Czech prison system and spiritual care in prison facilities in the Czech Republic. In the area of providing spiritual support in the Czech Republic there are a Prison spiritual service performed by prison chaplains, Prison voluntary care provided trained volunteers in this area and a Prison Fellowship International. The practical part of the thesis was done by means of a questionnaire survey, which was used to map out the availability of prison spiritual care. There participated prison chaplains, the public, and some members of the prison voluntary care as respondents in this research. The aim of the thesis was achieved with the help of obtaining information in the theoretical part of the thesis, but also thanks to the questionnaire research from the practical part. From questionnaire research and from analysis of available sources, I came to the conclusion that the availability of Prison spiritual service in the Czech Republic is not sufficient because it is not provided in all prison facilities. If convicted or accused persons were interested in this service in facilities where it is not provided, they do not have the opportunity to reach it. The results show that if the number of prison chaplains continues to, the availability of spiritual care in prisons and detention prisons in the Czech Republic would be better, and then it would be possible to provide it even in those facilities, where it is not available now. The second questionnaire survey revealed that the public does not have enough information about the prison spiritual service. Half of the respondents said, that they mostly did not hear about prison spiritual service, but still they thought it was necessary, so it would be good to give the public more information about this problems, for example, using regional newspapers or regional television stations.

A development and trends of crime committed by Czech Police staff.
LINHARTOVÁ, Martina
The crime committed by policemen is a topic which in recent years starts to be highlighted especially thanks to media scandals. Media show only one side of the thing, namely, what crime was committed. The second often much more serious side, concerns above all the fact, why policemen commit the crime, why people who should protect the law, break it. I consider this issue to be an up-to-date, serious and interesting topic, and that is why I chose it for my bachelor thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis was focused on Police tasks, on possible reasons for committing the crime and its causes, then who solves the problems and last, but not least, the thesis deals with a particular analysis of that crime. The goal of the thesis is to inform about the issues and to show, that there exists a very serious problem which should not remain on the sidelines, because mainly citizens´ safety is in question. The research method was based on interviews with the staff of Police Inspection, from those I subsequently created case studies, concerning various types of policemen crime cases. Because of the Privacy policy, it was necessary to respect guidelines for an implementation of case studies. Two research questions were set for the practical part. The first one solves, whether the crimes are being committed especially by younger policemen, who, for the lack of experience and a lower salary could commit the crimes. The second question was to find out, in which section of the Police service comes about the commitment of the most of crimes. The thesis can be used as a source of comprehensive information for students or people dealing with those issues. It can also be used as an inspiration for another research.
